777JILI on Lock Target: What Locking a Fish Does to Your Spend

Lock target is a fish-shooter control that keeps your shots on one chosen fish, and the only question that matters is what that costs. This 777JILI page reads the words JILI’s own pages use for it and works the arithmetic of spend against return. It sits under the fish arcade reference, which covers the whole genre.

Lock target in JILI’s own words

The saved JILI pages carry no heading called lock target. They use two phrases, and the table shows where each appears.

Neither page says how locking works, what it costs or whether it changes a catch. The wording is a feature name, and the page does not explain it further.

Target lock is not Lock & Respin

Target lock and lock target name the same idea, and both differ from a phrase that looks close. JILI’s Jackpot Fishing 2 page, with a 4800x MAX WIN and Publish Time 2026.01, says you “shoot any fish to enter the Bonus Game” and watch wins grow with Lock & Respin.

That phrase is a bonus mechanic: it follows the Bonus Game and is not an aiming control. Likewise, the Super Dragon Tiger Cannon on the Fortune King Jackpot page is a cannon with “increased capture probability”, which is a different thing from locking.

What locking does to your spend

On a fish shooter each shot is a stake, so every shot you spend on a locked fish is spent whether it hits or not. The figures below are an example with round numbers, not a rate any page prints.

1. Say each shot costs 1 bet unit and the fish you lock carries a 20x multiplier.
2. A catch returns 20 units in this example.
3. After 20 shots the fish has cost 20 units, so the catch only repays the spend.
4. Past 20 shots, locking costs more than the catch returns, even when the catch comes.

Changing the stake scales both sides: at 2 units a shot the same catch returns 40 units and 20 shots cost 40, so the break-even stays at 20 shots. Read what a bet unit means if you are unsure how to size one shot.

What the pages leave out

No saved JILI page prints a catch rate for a locked fish, a cannon level, a bet range or a room list, and none prints an RTP for a fishing title. Everything past the wording above is for the game’s own info screen.

1. Open the title’s info screen and look for the weapon and lock controls by name.
2. Read the multiplier shown for each fish you might lock.
3. Note the stake per shot and decide how many shots a fish is worth before you start.
4. Set the number of shots you will spend in a session, and stop there.
